A long-lasting friendship
Every year, Erica, Claudia, and Anna reunite for their book club holiday. They’re bonded by years of friendship and a deep love of books, but there is still so much they keep from each other . . .

A perfect Christmas escape
At the cosy Maple Sugar Inn, Hattie specialises in making her guests’ dreams come true, but this Christmas all she wants is to survive the festive season. Between running the inn and being a single mother, Hattie is close to breaking point.

The start of a brand-new story…?
Over the course of an eventful week, Hattie sees that the friends are each carrying around unspoken truths, but nothing prepares her for how deeply her story will become entwined in theirs. Will this Christmas be the end of the book club’s story or the start of a whole new chapter?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

Seven years ago Maddy’s husband left, without knowing that she’s pregnant, and no one knows what happened to him,

Since then, she’s and her daughter Lyla have lived with her aunt Ruthie at Nelson’s Bar.

One day Ruthie has a visitor, Raff, bringing her past with him in the form of the love letters he has with him.

I loved the characters and the setting, the story was well-written.

    I highly recommend this book.

This is another wonderful Christmas book by Sarah Morgan. It’s full of warmth, humour and the odd surprise revelation.
The book is told by four voices, the three friends, Erica, Claudia, and Anna, and also the owner of the Maple Sugar Inn, Hattie! After about half way I was used to the differences in each voice and no longer needed to check who was telling me the current bit of the story as they were quite different people.
After the first chapter by each I had an idea of where this book was going and I was half right but then shortly after this there was this huge revelation which overshadowed most of what had come before and coloured most of what was to come.
This really is a lovely festive story which ran me through a gamut of emotions and now I have recovered from this, I’m eagerly awaiting the next Sarah Morgan book to come!

I discovered Sarah Morgan when I borrowed a book from the library on my recent cruise and loved it. When I saw this one, I bought it and devoured it in a few sessions. Everything about the story was wonderful. I’m one of a trio of close friends and could relate to how easy they were with each other. Great feel-good reading for a cosy escape. I’ll be buying more of Sarah’s books.

Sarah has done it again and come up with a lovely story of friendship , I loved all the characters in this book and the inn was such a delight , i wish I could visit it and sample the food , I lost my sister, my best friend we too would share the love of books , this book helped me a lot I could escape from reality, it became my comfort zone a place where I could visit , it made me realise through Hattie that the loss of a loved one is tough but life has to go on , but memories will always be there , Thankyou Sarah

Been counting down the days until I could read this, and I was not disappointed. This was such a lovely Christmas read. I’m a huge Sarah Morgan fan, and will read anything she writes. Looking forward to seeing what she comes out with next as it’s getting difficult to beat what she’s already written.
