It’s the perfect Christmas love story.

Margot Murray is a newly single, high-flying businesswoman with no interest in a cutesy seasonal romance.

Ben Gibson is an unlucky-in-love sweetheart in need of a woman to bring home for the holidays.

Together, they make a pact: Margot gets a blissful week away from London in a picture-perfect manor, in exchange for posing as Ben’s girlfriend.

The story can only go one way. Margot is sure to fall in love for real.

And she does.

With Ben’s sister, Ellie.

What could possibly go wrong?

I whizzed through this super sweet Christmas rom com and highly recommend it if you are a fan of making the yuletide gay!

Overall I enjoyed this book as it was a fast paced story with an English setting featuring nice characters with, unusually, an off-screen ex as the potential fly in the ointment of a HEA ending. My only quibble would be that it’s very light on the spice, definitely a PG rated story that you could let your enlightened grandma read with no problem.

I really enjoyed this Christmassy fake dating to in-laws romance book, it hit all the right notes for me being cute and very seasonal with just the right amount of angst thrown in to make for a little romantic peril!
The story itself was very easy to read so I devoured it quite quickly. The characters we meet are all very likeable in their own ways, living their lives the best they can.
In addition to the romantic elements to this story there is also a good portion of family coming to terms with each other when the children become grown ups and their own person and of course, there is the mystery of Mitsi’s pregnancy to resolve!

I like all the romance and the lovey dovely. It took a bit for the brother to know and it end up quickly.
I read as a Hobby so reading is my favorite past time

The Christmas Swap is like a cup of hot cocoa – sweet and warm! With the perfect amount of tension and humour, I highly enjoyed this romcom. The characters are fleshed out and likable (I dare anyone to not fall in love with Gramps!), the family dynamics are realistic, and the Christmas setting is snowy and cozy. Looking forward to more of this author’s work!

This is a funny and cute fresh take on the fake dating trope.

Margot agrees to help Ben out by pretending to be his girlfriend for Christmas, it should be a nice easy week with good food and and great company. The problem is Ben’s sister, Ellie, is absolutely gorgeous and Margot find pretending to be straight and dating Ben harder than anticipated.

It was cliched and predictable in places but none of that matters because it was truly a heartwarming and lovely story made better by a very rich cast of characters.

This book was such a delight! It was a fast, easy read and highly enjoyable throughout. I love the set-up; it’s a typical fake-dating scenario, and we know it’s going to end with a romance. Except it’s not the romance you usually get. Margot and Ellie are both very likeable characters, but I have to say Ben just stole the show, and I wish he was a real person so I could be friends with him too. Another favourite is of course the dog, I’m so happy she was there. All of the characters and their relationships feel so fleshed out and real, and they all had their flaws and their strengths. Reading about Margot coming to terms with the reality of her previous relationship in a way that was realistic and moving was very poignant and emotional. Seeing Elle stand up to her family and start changing her life was lovely. The romance between her and Ellie is so sweet, adorable and respectful. And they’re lesbian characters who actually use the word lesbian – that is so much rarer than it should be. It’s the perfect winter read.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this lovely christmassy book

this is definitely a good christmassy read with plenty of awwww moments but with enough drama to keep you on your toes and reading it right through

the gibson household at christmas is a time for families and loved ones to be together but ben never takes anyone home with him but this year he is taking margot home with him as a pretend girlfriend

and once they arrive the fun and games begin…..

whats not to love about a christmas story, a pregnant dog, and a growing attraction with friends all added into the mix

brilliantly written and will be keeping an eye out for more of this authors works
