I am just about to finish the 15 books and feel sad to be leaving Joanna Piercy and her team. Each story has been intriguing with good descriptions of the police procedures. There was just enough of her personal life to flesh out the character and show the passing of time, without been too distracting from the main story.
Would recommend to lovers of crime fiction.

I really enjoyed reading this series and regret never reading them before however I did struggle with the timeline until i separated the current affairs type references from Joanna’s relationship with Matthew. It appeared to me that her career seemed to span two decades but her relationship much less than that.

Have just finished box set of 15 stories,listened while got on with my house work and jobs around the house. Hope there are more in the series soon. Really enjoyed.

The characters have depth and substance, the plots are imaginative and gripping, scenes are descriptively laid out and well thought. A great read and highly recommended.
