The Kindle edition is unreadable – it is so formatted that the pages appear as tiny highly illustrated graphics; the text is so small as to be illegible. I returned the book for s refund, which was given without quibble.

What an amazing book! Every part of the human body, every organ, every cell is covered with fabulous illustrations, many of them the latest computer-generated images in all their gory detail. It’s amazing what your insides look like and interesting to read how they function, implicitly function, this big heavy book shows the lot. Great value for money over 500 pages for you to get lost in with medical curiosity. Much better than pouring over a computer screen as you can examine a book intimately. Computers are great but its always nice to have a good book. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed with The Complete Human Body: The Definitive Visual Guide. With full colour Hi res images on every page!

I have the last edition as a paperback, but the Kindle version is handier. the illustrations are clear and wonderful, the text easy to read. It is so handy to look up what’s aching (grin).

Some of dk’s older books had a facility on the kindle version where zooming in on small text or image detail would first of all make it blurry but then refocus to produce a sharper and clearer image e. g. The Story of Art and The Cook’s Book of Ingredients. The Complete Human Body, however, stays blurry when you zoom in, as do all other other recent dk books. I also agree with the other reviewers who pointed out the lack of images of the female body.
