The Dance — Alex (The Andersons, Book 2): ANNOTATED

£2.40

Joseph Anderson has decided it’s time his three sons find brides. Joseph wants grandchildren to fill his mansion, and he wants them immediately. He was successful in his eldest son’s match, and in this book his scheming brings Alex and Jessica together.

Alex is the middle son in a very wealthy and loving family. He’s a confirmed Bachelor, who loves to travel the globe and romance as many women as possible. That is until he meets Jessica Sanders. One night spent with her and he’s changing his views on bachelorhood and starting to think married life is the new way for him.

Jessica comes from a wealthy family, and has had one too many good-looking men take advantage of her. When she meets confirmed bachelor, and known playboy, Alex Anderson, she’s distrustful of his flirting and tries to avoid him at all costs. That is until they end up trapped in an elevator, and her fear of the dark, tight space is greater than her fear of the man she’s trapped with. This is the second book in the Anderson series by NYT’s best selling author Melody Anne.

Not quite as good as the first one, I found Alex to be a bit frustrating at times but still a great read, I quite often found myself up until the early hours even though I knew I had work the next day just because I had to know what happened. A very enjoyable read.

Was totally immersed in this book. I love the way Joseph Anderson meddles in his sons love lives and sets them up with their prospective wives. Alex and Jessica have a rocky start, but love wins out in the end. I loved catching up with the Andersons and can’t wait to read Marks story.

Book 1 and 2, have very similar plots which is a bit annoying; you’d think one brother would learn from the other brother’s mistakes but no…… Someone needs to teach the Anderson men about contraception!
It’s a fun idea where the father is desperate to have a big happy family and to see his sons settle down so he goes about matchmaking behind his sons’ backs. He brings women he choses into situations where his sons will meet them.
The plot is playboy son, innocent virginal girl, passionate sex, girl falls in love and feels hurt, man refuses to admit he no longer wants the batchelor lifestyle but then some crisis happens pushing them together. Simple plot, characters not exactly deep and not much development but it’s ok.
I find the writing a bit corny at times and found myself cringing, and use of words such as womanhood and heat had me groaning but not for desired reasons. Really? womanhood?

The Anderson Family saga .. I bought this book about five or six years ago . Read it but never left a review . I have just re read it this week end . . It’s a good story but am sorry to say it does get dragged out quite a bit . Other than that. It’s not a bad read .

This is book about Alex and Jessica. Alex is a son of Joseph Anderson who again is matching all his kids for grandchildren. It’s so funny how matchmaking is denied but it is certainly happening. Alex does not to be married but does because of his son. He does realise he was being an idiot though.

Just finished this book and must say on a negative note, I didn’t feel that it was as good as the first. I personally preferred Amy’s character to Jessica’s. However, it was still very good and as usual I did struggle to put it down. I found some parts extremely similar to the first book, but as the story is following brothers, I suppose it’s difficult for story lines to be too different. For under £2.00 it was well worth the money. Will I be downloading book number 3 – DEFINITELY! Really looking forward to finding out how Joseph interferes with his son Mark, to get him married off. Must say Joseph is a fab character in this series!

It’s the 2nd brother’s turn to lose his batcherlorhood but he doesn’t have to admit the love thing does he? It’s part of this books charm to read the struggle Alex has recognising his feelings for his wife – his unexpected child has his adoration but then that child won’t leave will it. Full of humour and warmth this has been a joy to read, even when you wonder why Alex can’t see the wood for the trees! Can’t wait to read book 3. ❤????????????????

I loved this book and I am really enjoying this series. Finished ‘Billionaire Wins The Game’ and just had to read this one. This book is just as good as the first one. You still have the family connection running through the book. I like how the brothers rib one another. Jessica and Alex’s story is very good you watch how the have to struggle with their feelings for one another. I really like Joseph and I like how you still get to see Lucas and Amy from the first book in here. Can not wait to start Mark’s story.
