I already have the whole set on my Kindle. Purchased as a gift for my son to get him into these books. One book which is fine but the print is very small. I would probably have purchased these separately if I was aware. Good job he’s got young eyes!

Clearly my error but I thought this was a pack with the three books, bit gutted that it’s is one book. A bit too cumbersome to take on the bus

I originally found these books on Amazon Kindle and I have read the whole series to date. When the Jack Logan Collection of books 1-3 came out I bought it and I have to say I love it. It reminded me of why I love reading books. He is such a good writer, I love police dramas in general but this guy in particular. The books are fast moving and although the storyline is dark he definateley has the gallows humour of what I too imagine the police to have. I am a retired health worker so I get the one liners and I find myself laughing out loud. Even though I feel empathy for the victim and the poor team trying to piece together the crime. The team has good characters in it from the head honcho to the P.C. Ireally like Hoon despite his being a totally politically incorrect, foul mouthed abusive Manager who deserved to be locked up. Each character in the team has a story of their own and you get to know who they are as the plots progress.
I hope you enjoy these books as much as I have I intend buying the whole series and passing them on to my friend. She is struggling to read at the moment so I think she will like the fast pace storyline and good humoured banter amongst the police team in general.
I really look forward to much more from JD Kirk. In the future

A box set that you don’t want to miss. The characters develop well over the series. Exciting and gripping. Well written with plenty of suspense. Actioned packed with gritty storylines. I raced through each book and look forward to reading book four.

I like these books, there is humour in them plenty of twists and turns. When you read a series you get to involved with the characters. Next one please.

I have read all volumes up to no 12. And on the whole have been a fairly good series, however this team call themselves expert crime scene investigators, there is the head DCI Hoon who swears every other word and has betrayed the team good style and dismissed from the force. DCI Logan is lumbered with a dog but not got the sense to take it to a rescue centre. Then there is Tyler who quite frankly should be on stacking shelves in Asda, he’s about as dumb as they get and none of the team seems to be able to take orders even from the highest. And when it came to the last in the series I quite frankly I had had enough and couldn’t finish it.

I wasn’t sure I would like these books as I like to read novels where I am familiar with the areas they are set in; but I needn’t have worried as the story lines and characters were perfectly formed. As I read each book in the book 1-3 collection, the characters are developed and I especially love DCI Logan’s dry sense of humour and his relationship with the other members of his team. Would thoroughly recommend.
