This was a wonderful & beautiful story & I got sucked in almost from the start. There was an instant connection between Jace & Mindy from the first moment they met when he brought his sick son in to see her & the minute she looked at Christopher it was like she’d been struck by lightning. It seemed like fate that had brought Jonathan to her after she realised he was her son that had been taken from her as soon as he was born & adopted but there was also a sexual chemistry between her & Jace. Jace loved how wonderful Mindy was with Christopher looking after him trying to make him better but there was a deeper reason for her investment.
This was a sweet love story but it also had many emotional moments surrounding Christopher, her parents behaviour to her, secrets & also violation of her job as a doctor.
Jace knew Mindy was special & after losing his first wife he was going to do everything to have his second chance at happiness telling Mindy he loved her but Mindy was keeping a huge secret that could cost her her son, love if her life & her job.
Once you start reading you won’t want to stop, it’s a great story line with wonderful characters but some that are not so nice but there’s a reason why.

I diagnosed a boy of twelve &h is adopted father jase that the son had crowns disease the same as I have &moniter after the father jase went to get other opinions & they just said his bad stomach was due to trauma missing his dead adopted mum the boy was the image of my father I was sure he was my given away son from twelve years ago so one of the blood tests we took I kept & sent of for a dna test against mine this was unefical & also I wouldn’t be able to treat him if he were also there was a spark with his father get the book to find out what happens next

Mindy felt a connection to Jace from the moment they met, but she didn’t know the depth of their connection until she found out about his son. Their chemistry was hot and whilst they knew pursuing a relationship was dangerous, they just couldn’t hold back, no matter how hard they tried. Even though Mindy knew the consequences if her actions were discovered, she not only embarked on a secret relationship with Jace, but also crossed a professional ethics line and kept pertinent information from Jace.
Unfortunately, just as they settled into their relationship, Mandy’s life started to unravel, as her professional ethics was questioned and she had to come clean to Jace about the information she had kept from him. Luckily, Jace realised after spending time away from Mindy, that he could live without her, so he helped her resolve all the issues that were plaguing her life, so they could get their happily ever after.
This is an intriguing age gap romance, with an realistic and moving storyline, that will grab and hold your attention all the way from the beginning, until the end. This is a must read page turner, that you will definitely be happy to recommend.
