The origami thing started as a lockdown joke with a friend … I ordered paper for us to do drunken zoom origami. I tried some designs from the net and found I enjoyed it. I bought this book and it explained the art in more depth, the meditative side of the process and went deeper into it . Also teaching the symbols for doing the patterns that are international …you could even follow a design developed by somebody speaking any language as the pattern symbols are same for all. The book is just lovely, descriptions and illustrations on each page intrigue and encourage.
It’s taught me that the slow process (journey?) to the end result is what it’s all about….concentration, focus and patience …once you finish the design you feel quite zen.
Lovely, to the author I say thank you .

On the whole I’m enjoying the book, the Instructions are very clear & easy to follow . However I have spotted a few minor errors with the occasional illustration – Nothing major as long as you take the time to fully read the instructions. A worthwhile purchase for anyone just starting out with origami.

Just got into origami myself lately and had mostly used online videos to fold models so far, which can be confusing at times. This is a neat book if you wish to learn the terminology and folding techniques of origami from scratch – I love that the book takes you from beginner, intermediate all the way to advanced models in a joyful, but coherent way. No fuss as the book provides a clear layout and simple explanations to achieve the folds. Highly recommended!

My gf was very happy with this purchase

A few beginner, intermediate and harder models to make, a bunch of bases and a gallery of not-included-in-this-book models. Disappointing

Brilliant book for my son to begin origami. It has clear step by step instructions and has proved easy enough for him to follow ( Age 12). Bought along with packs of colourful paper , it has been keeping him extra busy during lockdown!
