Absolutely love this book. Firstly it is beautifully put together using Jess’s images and writing. This book manages to capture her unique voice in a physical form. Love how easily accessible everything is throughout the book. Very readable and informative. Definitely a must have for beginners as well as long term gardeners.

I love this book, the images are stunning the books itself is a really high quality book then the material inside is absolutely priceless, written in such a matter of fact way but still beautifully poetic and the author Jess is! I’ve been gardening years but this book still taught me new things and things I have forgotten and helped me wrap my head around some! A must have for any gardener!

It’s a great addition to any gardeners shelf. Can be used by a first time gardener who’s looking for the key points in starting a garden but also very handy for experienced gardeners. I love that it’s not US specific and can be used to apply to anyone no matter where you are in the world.

Wonderful book for a begginer but maybe not for those who’ve gone through their first year of gardening. Great gift to someone starting their gardening journey.

I don’t often write reviews but I had to for this book. I’ve tried growing veggie gardens a couple of times and have failed dismally. I had no confidence going in this time and this book has changed that. It has shown me exactly why my last attempts failed, it has taught me that failure is learning and I am so much better equipped to start this year!
It is excellently written, engaging and not at all boring. It is a feel good read, full of life giving energy and has really changed my view of gardening.
If you are a veggie growing newbie or someone like me who is lacking wisdom and confidence, then GET THIS BOOK. You don’t need anything else at this stage, just this book.
Jessica Sowards is a joy to read and a joy to watch on YouTube. Buy this book, you won’t regret it.
