I am very much a beginner at drawing, although familiar with some concepts through photographic interests. This book, which I am only part way through, seems very comprehensive, and I am therefore encouraged to stay the course! Would like to have interaction with the author on some points of technique which needed expansion. However, am highly satisfied with this purchase.

I ordered this as I’d seen someone else’s (older) copy and thought it looked good. The copy I received was a smaller size than the one I’d seen (i.e. same content but compressed into a smaller page size), which was slightly disappointing as the bigger page size is somehow more inviting. Nonetheless I still find it a very useful book which covers a wide range of subjects to draw and is clear and easy to follow. It’s ideal for ‘dipping into’ when you have a spare moment and having a go at drawing something. There are plenty of simple drawings to copy as well as more complex ones.

Really happy with this book, just what I need. The style of instruction and demonstration the author does in a step by step way is so helpful to someone like myself who has no natural drawing ability. I am excited to start, learn, practice, practice, practice and watch for improvement.
I purchased a used copy which arrived in perfect condition, no marks anywhere or damaged pages.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in learning the fundamentals of drawing or improving on what they already know.
