My original order was damaged by the delivery driver and I was sent a replacement immediately and still in time for Christmas
Having eaten at the restaurant we got this for our son he loves it very clear instructions and tasty food

Book is really nice and quality good. Only tried a few recipes and created a vegan version of lamb masaman. Delicious. In general I add extra spices to all recipes as they always seem more flavourful that way, but all the base is there to guide you to a great tasting dish.

I’ve eaten at the Giggling Squid and found it lovely. I also have a track record of cooking Thai food at home. So I was surprised to see that the recipe for Zingy Prawns calls for 50 g butter and 12 tbsp of crushed garlic. Really? Also the recipe for the dressing will make enough to cater for a restaurant not the 4 people the recipe says. I find this very disappointing but fortunately can probably work out how much of the various ingredients I need to ‘drizzle over some dressing’ to serve.

Over-the-moon that Giggling Squid have brought out a book and are sharing some of their amazing recipes. Super-pretty designs, awesome food, I can’t wait to experiment, and if you get chance to eat in one of their restaurants, Harrogate especially, even better. Highly recommend!

Bought this for my husband along with a box of Thai ingredients. We live near loads of supermarkets with products so weren’t worried about sourcing stuff (and there is always online) First recipes have proved a challenge as amounts of some products (200g of palm sugar – LOADS, and very expensive: confusion over tamarind juice versus concentrate) has meant it’s so far a struggle. Not the easiest so far.
