Great introduction to gambling, taking into account calculating risk, but also more importantly, how to build a healthy attitude towards it. Good read for those who are planning to take an interest in gambling.

Very good for setting the ground rules for successful betting
by Steven White
I am a novice to gambling and may still resist the temptation to gamble going forward. However, I would advise anyone to read this book either as a first time gambler or as an occasional gambler who applies little science behind their bets. You must get mathematical before placing any bet! Follow these rules and you won’t go far wrong. A really well written book that can be read in one sitting, offering practical advice in a simple 20+ top tip format. Basically become an expert on the sport you are thinking of gambling on and through your own careful analysis and unique understanding spot that opportunity to beat the bookies. It has made me think about a certain favourite sport of mine and a pattern I have spotted that hopefully others are not aware of…

I have been a gambler for 20 plus years. This book gives good advice on how to think more like a professional. Avoid the mistakes of a novice, reduce the edge from the bookmaker, and turn a profit. A must read for anyone who likes a wager. The time and price is well worth it. Highly recommend.
