I am a sucker for these types of books. I love the history of it all, there are so many points of interest over this whole topic. Gosh if they taught it like this when I was in school we would all have been riveted and I would have done better. The book is so well written, is well researched and clearly gives key points and events to explain how it lead to how it did. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommend.

This book is a great summary of the main battles and seminal events of World War 2. Recommended for WW2 buffs as well as history students. I very much liked how the factual data is balanced with the human element. If you are a little hazy about the progression of World War 2, this book is for you. It outlines the lead-up to war and the key events during the war right up to the aftermath.

Well-researched and historically accurate, The Greatest Battles of WW2 is an excellent summation of the key events of this global conflict. Outlining each theatre of war, Alexander L Sheppard masterfully balances the facts of warfare with the human cost caused by the most destructive period of history. From events leading up to the conflict, through the turning point moments, up to the final Allied victory over Axis powers, it’s an important lesson in history.
