I found the book quite repetitive and negative. There was some good advise, but all in all I wouldnt really recommend it. I felt like there could be a bit more focus on the training. I thought there were some contradictive information in it too.

I bought the book thinking it was just like a training book,but was so surprised it contains everything from how the dogs mind works,traits,training and first aid,so very pleased with this book,highly reccommended

I am a bit disappointed with this book, actually. The author continually refers to her Shih Tzu when it should obviously be “Border Collie”. At one point, the author refers to a Collie as being, “a small breed” and a “lap dog”. It’s either poor proof reading or a cut-and-paste job. Not the definitive guide to Border Collies.

I was quite disappointed with this book. There are some useful tips but you have to get past feeling like you’re being told of for something you’ve not yet done. It’s too negative and spends more time telling you what you shouldn’t do than being particularly helpful. You may want a happy dog but this is not a happy book unfortunately
