I was gripped by this book the characters and the story set in Scilly, Italy. A dark and foreboding tale of loss, grief and eventually hope and how to move forward after time heals. The author draws you in with a chilling story of the past and present with the family history helping bring an understanding of how the main characters lives have been affected by the past.

Really enjoyed. Lots going on, loved the setting. Good how the ex mother in law got them back together and a good ending.

All characters are real, breathing people. At least that’s what it feels like. I devoured this book. It has everything, love, loss, tragedy, malice, grudges, ghosts of the past & transformation. It’s not a thriller in the usual sense, more thrilling & chilling. Would have given 5*, but some was a tad predictable & a bit too wrapped with a bow. Beautiful book though for all that.

An easy book to read. Very descriptive of the area it was set in. It had a nice conclusive ending

This book is better than the lost note book. It’s a book about the readers hope that all will be well: the triumph of good.

Good writing style and kept your attention with some tense moments, but it was fairly clear early on what the outcome was likely to be.
