I read it together with my son. it was a wonderful basis of discussion not only about the religions themselves but also their history. Highly recommendable. Very well written.

This book popped up as a suggested item when I was buying The Little Book of Activism from the same collection. So glad to spot it as it’s been fascinating reading for me over the last couple of weeks. It’s broadened my knowledge around different religions.

This is a great book if you want to know the basics of the major religions around the world. It’s not especially academic, but I liked that – it made it a little less dry and a little more readable than the standard books you get on the subject. Well structured and easy to digest.

I actually really found this interesting. I am a staunch atheist and have yet to understand the purpose of religion in a modern world. This little book gives you a fair amount of information about the various religions in the world today, and gives a basic understanding of their principles and history.
Worth a read if you want to broaden your knowledge, without having too much god thrown at you.

Gave this to our grandson who is beginning a GCSE Religious Studies course as it gives an interesting, compact, easy to read and useful overview of the world’s most important religions.

This is a great book which gives a basic intro into the worlds main religions whilst also acknowledging other forms of faith which is great.
I noted however that when mentioning Norse gods from the Nordic/Germanic religions, it highlights ‘Marvel’s’ account of the Norse Gods which is incorrect. Not a huge deal for many readers who would possibly be more interested in the worlds main religions but if information is incorrect it does make you wonder if anything else is also so?
