Within the first few pages of the book, the talk of Gen Zs and Millennials made me feel excluded as I do not fit into either of these categories. There are several references throughout the book to these groups, for which I feel sad. I have felt an imposter for all of my professional life and have many more working years left yet. Am hoping that I will be able to work through this book and that I will find it if some use.

This is a well written book which has an abundance of practical examples and tools to help you understand and improve your mental health. It has just the right amount of theoretical knowledge and studies without being overpowering to the reader. Well worth a read!

I am a self help book lover and what I love about this one is, it is so easy to pick up read something, it makes sense. Written so well. I hope that by leaving it on my coffee table my teenage boys will pick it up to and pick up some great tools. Mental wellbeing is something we all have to look after, develop and nourish even when feeling good!
The past few weeks I have felt my anxiety back, reading this over the weekend, made me feel a bit calmer and stronger like a hand a warm hug or chat with a friend.
Thank you Dr Alex George what an impact you are making!

Unlike some other mental health books, give practical advice and activities

A good book that reads like it is written more for young adults rather than grown ups. Some good stuff in it but nothing I haven’t heard before from other authors.

This is such an amazing book. It breaks down the ideas for better mental health by making it easy to read and not completely full of medical jargon. As well as having practical tips and tricks to how to improve your mental health from the moment you open the book. The book is very well laid out and very visual which for me is vital. Alongside this, Alex uses is how lived experience to show how life can challenge your mental health and how he over came it.
Read this book, you won’t look back.

I have read a lot of self-help books to help me with my anxiety, but this book is different in the most helpful way. Every household should have a copy of this book!
It’s full of practical advice and activities, it’s evidenced based and Alex shares extremely relatable scenarios from his own experiences, that remind you that you are absolutely not alone.
Honestly, I can not recommend this book enough. Thank you for all you do as an advocate, for raising awareness and for promoting healthy mental health.
