I choose this book because I wanted to know more about vegetables and how to cook them because I need to introduce more into my diet. Lovely photographs of all the common and not so common vegetables that you can find in this country. Excellent explanations on how to prepare them and very useful recipes as well. I’m very pleased with this book and would recommend it.

I needed to change my lifestyle as I am type 2 diabetic and had to both lose weight by eating more healthily and increasing my exercise levels. Although I am not a vegetarian “by conviction” I am someone who needs to increase my vegetable intake “by necessity”. This recipe book is ideal for me as the recipes are simple, straight forward and a number of them are vegetarian equivalents of traditional classics that I knew and enjoyed.
I would recommend this book to anyone but particularly to someone like me who wants to increase his vegetable intake without necessarily having an ethical motivation for doing so and indeed still eats meat and fish as well as part of a much more balanced intake.
Delicious and healthy eating which is working for me as I have lost just over two stone in 6 months and I refuse to say I am on a diet because this has to be a permanent change!

This is a lovely book. It’s very easy to follow and actually makes you want to discover new things. I have even managed to impress my wife a couple of times… So I can only highly recommend this book.

Excellent recipes even for a meat eater like myself. Had a vegetable glut this summer and I managed to use almost all of it within the recipes in this book.Great.

I was looking for a book to help me introduce more vegetables into my families diet which can be quite meat heavy. This book is perfect. The recipes are inspiring, and seem simple to make. They sound really delicious and exciting, giving me lots of ideas to try for our family dinners. Some vegetarian books are too typically vegetarian with the usual recipes like nut roast for christmas or chickpea curry. Things that I don’t think my young children will be excited to eat. This book is going to be a winner and I can see them loving the meals. This week i am planning to make the spring vegetable stew with fresh herb dumplings, mushroom burgers with chips and dip, pancakes with mushrooms garlic and cheese, and potato and tomato curry. I just wish this book had a picture for every recipe. Apart from that, I love it.

Some lovely recipes which I shall look forward to trying. My only criticism would be a marked lack of pictures.
