At first, i was delighted that the spines of each book were intact with no problems, till i faced them the other way around.
A few of the books have bent over corners, blackish fingerprints on the pages and even rips in the covers.
Especially the “codex”, in the worst condition that i didn’t expect from a “new” set of books. Made me question wether i bought second-hand books or new ones -like the webpage suggests

Ordered this for my daughter as a present. Unfortunately although it is advertised as a boxed set it actually comes without a box which is rather disappointing!!

I don’t think the other reviewer’s review is fair, they obviously had a bad experience from the seller they used. Some marketplace sellers don’t include the slipcase box that the new editions come in. So be careful. As for the books themselves, I absolutely love this series. Also, the new edition box set is gorgeous, beautiful new cover artwork and the spine makes up a picture of Jace, Clary, Simon, Isabelle, Alec and Sebastian looking out over the New York skyline. The character on the front of the books matches the character on the spine from what I can tell. These editions also include a map to mark important landmarks associated with the series. Totally worth the money.
