Lovely to look at but disappointing after seeing the real thing – the colour production isn’t great.

This is a gorgeous book, with good quality reproductions. The text is kept short, but relevant. If you love the National Gallery collection, you’ll love having this on your bookshelf.

I bought this book for a friend who is a carer and cannot manage to visit the National Gallery in person, so this is the next best thing. The reproductions are beautifully printed and the book is a wonderful record to have of one of our greatest art collections.
