This is a really good book, it is about siblings looking out for each other, the importance of listening to parents and about family and love. It approaches some important themes.
It is told via red panda’s which are really cute and the illustrations are stunning, really detailed and help to back up the story. They are full of character and colour. The illustrations are varied too from wide scenes to close ups, it tacky does bring to life the story.
The text is simple to understand but has a rhythm and flow. The story moves at a pace and sets the scene and is good reading in your head, however I got this to read to my daughter and in places it is quite clunky to read out loud, where it flows in your head it doesn’t always when reading out loud.
I do like the story and it is only in certain places the flow is broken up when reading out loud, on the whole is a good story and my daughter really loves me reading it to her, she likes the cute pandas and the story keeps her entertained as it is not too long and it fits have a traditional beginning, middle and end.
The text is not just in long prose, it is broken up and displayed in different ways in the page.
The story is good and the illustrations are brilliant, though if reading out loud the text might not flow as well as if reading on your own. I do really like the messages behind though, with the themes of safety, loyalty and family.

I don’t have children, but was sent this as a free product by Amazon.
This book is very well written, the story has a lesson/message, and the story flows well.
The language is simple and uncomplicated, suitable for young ones, and will be an easy book to start with when learning to read for themselves
For adults learning English as a second language, books like this are extremely useful. Phrases are often repeated, the language is clear and avoids complicated words, and the rhythmic flow helps aid pronunciation and timing (words look like one but sound like another, it’s easier to understand which one if it has to rhyme or fit in with the cadence). English is a hard language to learn, this will help too!

This book is beautifully illustrated, with sweeping landscapes and a story of family, love and keeping promises.
The story is about 2 Red Panda sisters who go on an adventure, which includes themes of looking out for each other, love and the importance of keeping promises.
We love this artist and have read other books by other authors who he’s illustrated for…the books always look beautiful!
Overall, this is a lovely little book that both our kids enjoyed. The book details recommend ages 3-5 but our eldest is 8 and still really enjoyed it.

The Pandas Who Promised is a visually stunning book about two little red pandas that tells their tale in rhyme, with heartwarming illustrations that will captivate any child. While the story teaches two important lessons—to listen to one’s mother and to stick together in times of danger—its key feature is the breathtaking artwork.
The book’s illustrations are truly breathtaking, with vibrant colors and intricate details that bring the story to life. The artist has captured the beauty and innocence of the two panda siblings perfectly, and their expressions are full of emotion. Children will love following the pandas on their adventures and marveling at the beautiful scenery around them.
In addition to its stunning artwork, The Pandas Who Promised also tells a heartwarming story about two siblings who learn the importance of listening to their mother and sticking together. The book is a perfect gift for any occasion, and it is sure to become a cherished favorite in any child’s library.

An adorable story about two sisters who set off on an adventure despite a warning from their mother. When things get tough, they work together to get home safely. Beautifully illustrated and written, this is sure to be a favourite bedtime read. Perfect for young readers. My daughters aged 9 and 7, despite maybe being a little bit old for this book are very taken with it and love the rhyming throughout. Highly recommend.

This is a rhyming story about two cubs who venture out to explore and realise they should have listened to mum! My youngest loves red pandas so was very excited to read this. It’s easy to read for early readers and fantastic illustration through the book, colourful and helps bring the story to life. I’m sure this will be a book she requests every night, until like some other rhyming books I’ve memorised it!
