But while cautious Popo is content to spend her days in the family’s cosy treetop nest, bold Ketu dreams of excitement and exploration. So when Ketu creeps off down the mountain in search of adventure, Popo must make a choice: will she keep her promise to Mama, or look after her sister?

This is a rhyming story about two cubs who venture out to explore and realise they should have listened to mum! My youngest loves red pandas so was very excited to read this. It’s easy to read for early readers and fantastic illustration through the book, colourful and helps bring the story to life. I’m sure this will be a book she requests every night, until like some other rhyming books I’ve memorised it!

This book is beautifully illustrated, with sweeping landscapes and a story of family, love and keeping promises.
The story is about 2 Red Panda sisters who go on an adventure, which includes themes of looking out for each other, love and the importance of keeping promises.
We love this artist and have read other books by other authors who he’s illustrated for…the books always look beautiful!
Overall, this is a lovely little book that both our kids enjoyed. The book details recommend ages 3-5 but our eldest is 8 and still really enjoyed it.

An adorable story about two sisters who set off on an adventure despite a warning from their mother. When things get tough, they work together to get home safely. Beautifully illustrated and written, this is sure to be a favourite bedtime read. Perfect for young readers. My daughters aged 9 and 7, despite maybe being a little bit old for this book are very taken with it and love the rhyming throughout. Highly recommend.

I don’t have children, but was sent this as a free product by Amazon.
This book is very well written, the story has a lesson/message, and the story flows well.
The language is simple and uncomplicated, suitable for young ones, and will be an easy book to start with when learning to read for themselves
For adults learning English as a second language, books like this are extremely useful. Phrases are often repeated, the language is clear and avoids complicated words, and the rhythmic flow helps aid pronunciation and timing (words look like one but sound like another, it’s easier to understand which one if it has to rhyme or fit in with the cadence). English is a hard language to learn, this will help too!

The Pandas Who Promised is a visually stunning book about two little red pandas that tells their tale in rhyme, with heartwarming illustrations that will captivate any child. While the story teaches two important lessons—to listen to one’s mother and to stick together in times of danger—its key feature is the breathtaking artwork.
The book’s illustrations are truly breathtaking, with vibrant colors and intricate details that bring the story to life. The artist has captured the beauty and innocence of the two panda siblings perfectly, and their expressions are full of emotion. Children will love following the pandas on their adventures and marveling at the beautiful scenery around them.
In addition to its stunning artwork, The Pandas Who Promised also tells a heartwarming story about two siblings who learn the importance of listening to their mother and sticking together. The book is a perfect gift for any occasion, and it is sure to become a cherished favorite in any child’s library.

This is the latest in the Bright-Field duo series (‘The Squirrels Who Squabbled’ or ‘The Lion Inside’ + more). Out now in hardback with high quality paper pressing, you’d want nothing less to showcase illustrator Jim Field’s extraordinary mountain scenes and the cutest of red panda characters. Bright’s rhyming text is delightful as always. A mum and her two little ones live high up in the mountains. The siblings love nothing more to be together and play, however, one is far more adventurous than the other. Learning all about the value of a promise and the importance of keeping one, especially when to break a promise are all part of life’s lessons. An adorable story for pre-schoolers.
