I think this is a good name book. Other reviews mention the ‘ridiculous’ names…yes there are some names that you bypass/don’t like but that’s with every name book or app that you’ll use.
I’ve used an app to try and decide names but really liked having a paper copy that me and my husband can look through ourselves. It definitely has ‘normal’ more traditional names as well. It tells you where names are from as well which is a nice touch.
A good buy.

A real mixture of names, some great classic names and some downright bizarre ones too which made us laugh. We definitely won’t be naming our baby ‘Boner’ but each to their own! Lots of names on the internet but I love to have a good look through a book with a cuppa and it’s such an exciting time that I keep going back to this book to have another look and work my way through.

I liked Germantrude the Mrs liked Albert. Hmmmm is the child going to be a boy or a girl? Charlie, now that name can go either way. I personally think Benjamina has a ring for a future world Dominatrix… So the book may…. or may not??? Help you.

Plenty of names to choose from

Good for giving ideas when expecting our baby…. However our chosen name (Everly) wasn’t even in the book and I believe it’s a growing name in popularity!

Well the book does what it says and we picked a name after months of not agreeing and having totally opposite tastes. I marked the names I liked in boy and girls and my husband did the same and we eventually had a name we both ticked! Happy outcome!

I don’t think it has lots of names but it had enough for us to choose one. I am not sure if the descriptions are necessary as you can find a more extended in wikipedia.

Nice book with some good ideas. Baby names are hugely subjective so not always easy to find out what suits everyone. However this book is able to draw in unique and popular names that draw its origins from all around the world. I was looking for Scandinavian based names and this book has plenty. It has a small little description of the origins and meanings of each name and covers Male and Female.
Recommended for those wanting to draw inspiration in selecting a new name for their baby.
