The best pre-Christmas gift I could have ever asked for.
It’s inspiring, full of tips & tricks and examples on how to properly deliver a story that truly resonates with your viewers.
It pushes you to get out there and shoot more, and see things from different perspectives.
It’s the gift I would suggest to buy for your photographer friend or partner.
The only thing I could wish for, is to have it translated in my native language, so that I could buy it for few friends of mine back home, but I bet it’s not easy thing to do!
5 stars out of 5!

this book is simply amazing, I NEVER leave reviews and I read the book twice before I decided to write this one. I have done a lot of workshops and read a lot of books but this one, in particular, is great. So many photographers are just pointing and shooting without actually giving any thought to the story they are trying to tell. This book helped me understand that the difference between pro photographers and people who are just starting is the amount of time they spend in the process of telling a story instead of just shooting pretty things. I absolutely recommend this book to everyone, and I think it is cheap for the value you get back.

I bought this book towards the end of my MA in photography and wish I had seen it earlier. The book is full of great advice and excellent images. I consider myself a storytelling photographer but I do on occasion go off on a tangent when creating photo projects but referring back to Finn’s book has helped me keep on track… Very inspirational and my go-to book.

I enjoyed the open and honest conversation Finn has.
He shares his whole process, which I think alot of people will be interested in.
But for me it was more his experience, that he talks about telling stories and how you can use it for your work with people, brands and personal projects.
Like having another voice to bounce ideas off or see things from another perspective. Helps you to rethink, improve and grow.
This isn’t a technical book…. its helping you frame your story.
by J S Iskander
This book takes so many technical concepts and breaks them down into the most digestible of ways…. all whilst being displayed beautifully. I cannot think of an area that isn’t covered and I now feel inspired to reach new levels within my own photography.
It is pitched from ‘beginner to pro’, which seems like a very difficult thing to do, this is done brilliantly and will help any photographer join dots in their learning and progress to being a better, more rounded photographer (and storyteller) very quickly.
If you buy this book for anybody remotely interested in photography they would be extremely happy indeed.

As a photographer, I found this book such a refreshing read. The whole book from start to finish is maliciously broken down into straight forward sections that are easy to understand & refer back to. I’ve found other material vague in the past & quite ‘closed’ but Finn’s book was the complete opposite offering an honest & insightful approach to photography & the business mechanics. The book provides ideas & principles that can be easily digested & practiced in real-world scenarios.
A staple book for any photographer or aspiring photographer’s collection & above all else, it has some awesome work inside!

I love reading a book that actually gives you ideas that you hadn’t thought of! This is one of them. It’s not a thick book that immediately makes you think woh so many pages, but as soon as you start reading you realise this books content is quality rather than quantity. It’s a really super book. It has really made me think differently about a few things- long shots doing better on Instagram etc. It’s also very well presented. I’ve read it cover to cover but it will be one I revisit and has earned a permanent space on my bookcase.
