Charlie’s best friend Polly is still recovering from an accident that left her almost paralysed. As a mother who has a special needs daughter who has really benefited from RDA since she was 5 I can totally relate to this book. Well done you Clare, for making a child with disability a main character of this book and having a disabled child on the front cover. Just wish more authors were as brave as you. Its what you can do that’s counts! Well done, Clare and a massive thank you from all the children and adults who have a disability for showing everyone that they can be the same with just a little bit of understanding from the general public. I have cried and laughed at the same time reading your 3rd brilliantly written book and I cannot wait for your next one. Million thanks Jo

Gift for my daughter with special needs and she loved this book. Larger than average print which also helped.
Would be great to have further books by the same author.
This would be an easy read for most young people. My daughter is 21 and found it a moderate read.

It’s an amazing book, my youngest daughter loves reading it, because her current obsession is horses. ????

Great book and easy to read. I like how there’s a quiz at the end to make sure you understood it. Only problem I’m reading on kindle app and kindle and they don’t link so if I started reading on the kindle the app on my phone wouldn’t know what page I’m on but apart from that is easy to use and I highly recommend.

I have finally got round to reading the third book in Clare Balding’s children’s trilogy. It is a BRILLIANT story! Very emotional in places.
My late daughter did horseriding with R.D.A. (Riding for the Disabled Association). In fact she could ride better than I can. So I am aware of the work that this great organisation does. I didn’t know about the competitions though. I have learned quite a lot from this book. I would recommend anyone who is into horses to read it.
