A must read especially for anyone who has or feels like they have hit rock bottom, Rod’s story is truly inspirational and shows that there is hope in the face of adversity, very well written and compelling so much so that I could not put it down and read cover to cover in one sitting

What a gripping story!
I started to read it one evening and couldn’t put it down. Rods story gives hope to others in a similar situation and shows that people can change, especially with the support of their loved ones and God.
Rod turned his life round and is a pillar of society helping those in need, a person admired by all who know him.
Thank you Rod for sharing your story.

Was a good read to start, let down by so much talk of God.

If this had been fiction I’d have thought the author stretching things somewhat – but it’s the true story of an amazing adventure with powerful forces at work in the life of this ‘ordinary’ man. With extra-ordinary consequences. Impossible to put down!

Very good book, found the latter part of the book a little over the top on the religion front but if it has helped Rod and also helped him to help others then that’s great.

This honest and gripping story of hope in the midst of despair is an essential read for anyone whose life is tinged by addiction of any kind. It is testimony to the amazing love of God and the power of one human’s determination to use his personally story to bring hope to those whose lives feel hopeless.
