I am learning to cook and the recipes are reasonably straight forward and tasty.

For the price good value. Limited use as no many different recipes if you already have a cook book collection

Back in the day when Delia was Queen along came an upstart into our (young people’s) home. He had cooked at the Neal Street Restaurant and River Café in London and he loved Italian food. Naked was easy to follow, hassle free, largely gadget free and produced fantastic results for all that tried. There are some great recipes here and lots are still worth cooking. In this classic Penguin livery it looks fantastic on the bookshelf too.

I like naked chef books but feel it is a time to combine both and make a new book. I feel one of them only is not quite enough, but notwanting to have both because it is similar. I like mary’s saturday dumpling soup a lot!

This is just as great as all the other books – easy, delicious recipes that actually work in normal life. You’ll find some really new, inspiring recipes for pasta and risotto … One of my favourites is the “salmon fillet wrapped in prosciutto with herby lentils, spinach and yoghurt” (tasty and moist). The book is also great, if you’re planning to make your own pasta but don’t know exactly how: Jamie explains this in detail. I would recommend this book to everyone!

This book was an absolute bargain! Not sure how anyone made any money! Brilliant book and hardly a mark on it for a second hand book! Second hand but hardly used and for a few quid, got a really nice book.

Bought this for some inspiration having heard rave reviews over the years. In honesty I will probably only cook about four to five of the recipes. To be fair to Jamie Oliver I not a great fish fan, mainly because really fresh fish is so hard to find. So I had to knock a star off for that. Other might not.

It has some good ideas but in general it is not an amazing book… just good enough
