The Royal Daughter: A completely unputdownable and heartbreaking page-turner full of family secrets (The Lost Daughters Book 3)
£1.90
London, present day.As Ella looks down at a faded black and white photograph of an unknown woman and child alongside a yellowing piece of sheet music, she wonders how the two things can possibly relate to her own family. The items were left for her family at Hope’s House, a home for unmarried mothers whose babies were adopted.
Soon Ella learns that the photograph was taken on the picturesque Greek island of Skopelos, nestled in the turquoise calming waters of the Aegean sea, and that the woman in the photo holds the key to her family’s heritage. As she opens up to her new flame Gabriel, he tells her that she should go to the island to unravel the mystery and that he will wait for her.
Though Ella is torn she decides to go and once there, she discovers a heart-wrenching story of a royal family forced to leave their country for a new life in London, and of a girl with a unique talent for music who captured the heart of a young violinist but was forced to leave him and London behind for the sake of her family.
When Ella discovers the sacrifice made by the two young lovers and comes face to face with her forgotten Greek family, will their story give her the courage to follow her own heart back to London and Gabriel, or will the beauty of the island capture her heart and lead her to a new love altogether?
A totally addictive and heartbreaking novel about the strength of family ties and never giving up on true love. Perfect for fans of Santa Montefiore, Lucinda Riley and Victoria Hislop.
This novel can be enjoyed as a standalone.

I have read the other books in the Hope’s House series as I think of it and this one is another brilliant addition to the series.
I really couldn’t see why its titled ‘The Royal Daughter’ as the neither of the main characters are not Royal – the only attachment is that Alexandra’s father was an aide to the Greek Royal family.
That brings me to another inconsistency in my view – who was King Theodore? I thought King Constantine was the last deposed King of Greece?
Having said that this is a well written dual timeline story of enduring love and heartbreak.
For those that have read the other books then its no spoiler to say that Hope takes in girls/women who are having a child out of wedlock.
It seems that Hope kept a memento for some of those children (though it isn’t explained why it isn’t all) and these are returned to their original families after Hope died.
This is a lovely book that keeps you enthralled from page to page – I can’t wait for the next instalment
Thank you

What an emotional rollercoaster. So sad three times over, but joyous too, with a twist or two. The dual timeline has you paying attention to every detail of this unfolding drama. The creative characters dedication to their craft was inspiring, & those who recaptured their passion were fulfilled. There’s so many layers, even more depth & curves than the previous two books (which were great). The last few chapters were so good. Restoration for the years & the precious things that were stolen.
This series is thrilling. Looking forward to Mia’s story. Brilliant Soraya!

A beautiful story of romance in the present and past
As a box starts a search to reveal secrets at last.
A story of heartbreak, romance and mystery
As Ella sets out to uncover secret family history.
Told from two timelines that link in the emotional end
This is a superb read in which time to spend.
A photograph and music are the main clues
But why does her Mum not want any news?
So well written, you make the journey, too,
Feeling connected to the characters who
Are so vividly brought to life in this book
At which I highly recommend you go take a look.
A story of finding your own dreams, too,
Family, friendships and romances to view.
A journey with surprises and so much more
In this read which is one that I totally adore.
For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you,
Such an enthralling read and this is my honest review.
