She used to want it all.
Now she just wants a nap.
Tara Gallagher is knackered. She used to dream of being Beyoncé but suddenly she’s thirty-six and instead of headlining Glastonbury, she’s in her pyjamas on a Friday night, watching Gogglebox.
It’s time for a mammy makeover. She’s going to show her teenage daughter she’s still cool. Show her husband she’s still an absolute ride. And show her colleagues she’s still a Boss Bish.
But most of all, she’s going to prove to herself that she can still be a mum, still work full time, and still be Beyoncé…

A really good book, so funny in part and so like life with kids is really like.

This book had me in absolute stitches! Rarely do I laugh out loud reading, but many times this made me laugh and put a smile on my face. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to read more of her work. Soooo relatable if you’re a mum, brilliantly written!

Now I’m not lucky enough to have kids (thank you cancer & pcos ) however I related to this on sooo many levels ???? I helped raise my now 16 year old brother with my mum (single mum) I’m now 31 and we both still go halfsies. I’m the mum she’s the dad ???? Honestly loved this so much and I didn’t even realise it was written by one of my favourite tiktokers even though the dialogue and everything had me saying repeatedly ‘haha she sounds just like mammy banter!’ ???? Whether you’re a mum, an auntie , a bestie to someone with kids or a big sister who’s shared the load you’ll absolutely crease at this! Even if you’ve no kids in your life you can laugh at the absolute chaos of it all! Also a fab explanation of how we as women try so damn hard to fit in & be the best for everyone else but can often lose ourselves in the process whether it’s at work, at home or in school. I subconsciously knew I’d love this so I’d already bought the follow on which is a Christmassy one & of course I’m gonna crack it open at the beginning of spooky season! Could easily read this again & chuckle some more ????
