I haven’t actually started reading it yet .But I have looked at it and it is packed with interesting symbolism and esoteric writing . Very Good buy. I am a fan of Manly P HALL. Can’t wait to get round to it.

The book itself is great. Very insightful especially if you are interested in these subject matters, HOWEVER, I purchased the book from a company called LANGTON_INFO who I believe do not even hold stock of the item. They just source the item you are interested in buying. I though I bought the Diamond Jubilee Edition but it was a 2017 Reprint of the Diamond Jubilee Edition that was printed in China. I don’t know if I have a Rare misprint of the book but there was a page in the book which was blurry like there was a mistake on the printing machine which I have uploaded pictures of. It looks worse to the naked eye & also another page – A Portrait Of William Shakespeare with Francis Bacon superimposed however it seems to have been put in or printed the wrong way. You can clearly see in the photos I have uploaded. In short, double them triple check what you are buying as some sellers do not put all the relevant details in such as it being a 2017 reprint. I won’t return the book due to the fact I managed to purchase it for £85 & the prices for the same edition have doubled, tripled in some instances & even more expensive from other selllers.

If you want something about the ancient esoteric beliefs and teachings with a no nonsense approach then this is the book for you. The only downside is the text is tiny even with my glasses on

Full of amazing content – not a single mark down for the book’s content, but the layout is terrible! It’s very difficult to read, as it’s full of small text without any breaks or images of proper paragraphs. It’s a large book literally filled with text from cover to cover! Even a bible is easier to read, as the pages are divided into columns. This one is like chaos of words left loose on the pages – whoever designed this has done an exceptionally poor job, I’m sorry to say.

The info is there, but it’s not the nice illustrated version….

This is a lovely read and an interesting book to keep. I was very disappointed when I read the chapters regarding a certain religion I happen to know quite a bit about and found the book lacking in knowledge and what’s written is over 50% incorrect. Although the book concedes that the writings are taken from those opposed to that religion (historical facts, not interpretations) but still the level of error is unacceptable which lead me to doubt the rest of the book. Some of the writings clearly contradicts the basic teachings of that religion. Like starting the talk about Christianity by saying Christians believe that Jesus never existed. How can you trust what the book then claims as knowledge about what Christians believe?
Still I would highly recommend buying and reading the book but with a grain of salt and further research into any topic raised by the book. As a piece of interest and art I’d rate it 5/5 but for knowledge I’d rate it 3/5 and those 3 stars are coz I don’t know enough to dispute or disprove the rest.

I purchased a readable copy of Secret teachings of all ages I can recommend the Dover edition which has the picture of the world on the front cover shown above which is the one I purchased. It is an unabridged copy done very well with quality paper used and has all the original text layed out very well and over 100 black and white illustrations and around 16 colour plate illustrations. It is a beautiful book and very rich in content if you don’t want to get a copy of the more expensive full size original book then this is the best alternative. I’ve heard from other reviews the Tarcher readers copy is also similar in terms of having the complete text.

I noticed the reviews on this book stated that the print was doubled over and too hard to read, the pictures weren’t in colour etc etc. This is not the case with I book I received, it’s perfect in every way
