More pictures would be much better. I don’t use this book. Ingrid.

Although many of the recipes are fairly good, there are a few things you should know before purchasing this book.
1) There are no photographs or pictures inside, and the books is printed in black and white, on matte pages. I like the glossiness of recipe books, the coloured images, etc.. these pages I could’ve printed off myself using my home printer.
2) It is fairly flimsy, more leaflet like than book like – I’m not sure how long it will last in my kitchen!
3) The book is divided into breakfast, lunch and dinner. Personally I don’t really require recipes for breakfast, so a bit of a waste for me but possibly useful for others. (there are 30 dinner recipes)
4) It is very easy to see how many calories are in the recipe – although this is only a guide, it’s an easy to see indicator. However there is no info on fat content/other nutrition.. and eating healthily isn’t all about calories
5) It is fairly small in size, approx 20cm x 14cm
So overall, it’s OK. You could get ideas for recipes but adapt them yourself. The calorie indicator makes it easy to choose healthy recipes, but without knowing the fat content it’s hard to know which recipes are healthier. However, for £3.50, if you’re on a budget it’s not too bad a buy, and the recipes are truly pretty quick to make (although 15 mins is probably pushing it).

There are a few useful recipes in this book, including one which is helpful to use up Brussel sprouts, a Mexican version of scrambled eggs for a change, and Curried Cauliflower Soup which makes cauliflower more palatable and makes a warming winter soup. The book is good value. However, although it does give calorie counted recipes, I would like to see the carbs in it too. Also, there are no pics in it

Helpful little book, good ideas, fresh recipes and no ingredients you have to go to 20 supermarkets to find, always a good thing!

Tried a few recipes but sadly not a firm favourite in my kitchen repertoire.
