This is my favourite of the Julia Donaldson books, as it’s fun to read with lots of silly words. It also led to lots of talk about what the different planets might be like. It’s a classic Romeo and Juliet tale, without the violent ending, and super sweet.

This book deserves to be a classic! It is so well written in rhyme and the illustrations are so colourful. The story itself is great (shades of “Romeo and Juliet” with a happy ending). They should have it in every primary school to combat racism and division at an early age. I think most children would enjoy it!
