I don’t like my new boss. Not at all.

London Ambrose is a spoiled billionaire’s daughter. And now she’s the new co-owner of the Seattlefootball team, but that doesn’t mean that she knows diddly squat about football.

There’s nothing I hate more than having someone micromanaging me, shadowing my every move, and giving me their two cents on Every. Little. Thing. as I coach MY defensive line.

I don’t care about new team jerseys and branding or answering her million and one questions about how I do my job. But, I can’t help but come to her defense when an old flame shows up and starts harassing her. I’m a Montgomery. We don’t let anyone mess with women.

Now, I’m suddenly in a fake relationship, pretending to date the gorgeous billionaire and learning so many surprising things about this captivating woman that I just can’t seem to stay away from her.

When the lines between our fake relationship and real relationship blur, and my initial distaste for her turns into desire, I find myself coaching the most important game of my life – do I let my guard down or do I let London Ambrose walk away forever?

Drew and London’s story is something like a boss/employee and because of this they are supposed to feel a bit angry towards each other. Well, they fulfilled the first part. They were actually only annoyed by each other’s presents. But as soon as they started getting to know one another, this turned into a mutual attraction.

Drew and Landon became a couple really quickly, but both of them knew that they were it for each other. I was wondering how Caleb would react to Drew, but truth to be told, he accepted him quite easily. He was feeling safe and comfortable with Drew.

Landon and Drew as a couple – they are really good. At one point, they did have some kinds of insecurities, but they overcame them together.

Their love story was like a light breeze. It was sweet, romantic, steamy and quite easy to read. There wasn’t any unnecessary drama – there was only love and I loved it.

Overall, I really liked reading “The Stand-In”.

***I received advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.***

Loved this book!! I loved Drew and London so much there banter at the beginning of the book just made me smile. I love how Drew didn’t even think twice before standing up to support London and how she just went with it. I loved that this may have started with Fake Dating but quickly it wasn’t about that which is my favourite way this type of trope goes. I loved that we got more Liam in this one and i loved how close he and Drew are and now more excited for his book. I love that we also got more Lucy & Erin in this story, we haven’t had much Lucy yet and i loved her so much so like her Mom. I loved how Drew was with Caleb and there man to man chats were so touching. Now i need more Rome so i hope Kristen has plans for him in a future book as we need to know more about him. Another amazing story about this family who i love more and more.

This is my first and now I want to know more because what a great bunch of characters there are.
This was about Drew and London.
Drew is NFL QB coach and London is the new part owner. They start off with head butting and you get the enemies to lovers vibe.
I loved both of these characters all with their own strength, intelligence, compassion and vulnerability.
When London is cornered, Drew stood up and came to her rescue. Now we have fake relationship.
This was the start of them seeing each other past all those negative ideas they had of each other.
Drew starts seeing that she isn’t some spoiled rich girl. She is funny, beautiful, intelligent and an amazing mum.
The more they spend the more they blur the line. Then he meets Caleb, London’s 10 Yr old son. I love how they handled integrating Drew into the relationship. It takes some work but Drew was AMAZING. When a man steps up and cares, loves and protects their partners child then you’re on a winner. My heart just melted when it came to these three.
But there are a lot of problems and resistance from elsewhere that could destroy it all.
Read and see how that is handle or does London and Drew have to go separate ways?
This book had me having so many feels, laughing, loving and getting heated. Wonderful experience reading this sports romance.

I loved The Stand-In by Kristen Proby. It’s a funny, swoon-worthy romance that I just couldn’t put down.

Drew is an NFL coach for Seattle, and London is one of the new owners of the football team. Drew definitely has it wrong about London. He thinks she’s just some spoiled little rich girl, but she is so much more than that, and the more Drew gets to know her, the more he realises just how wrong he was.
London has a great head for business she’s also a single mom to a 10 year old Caleb when Drew cone to her aid when her ex shows up they start to spend time together and sparks fly, Drew and Caleb also have a great bond. Could this be the start of something beautiful ????

Drew Montgomery had no intention of falling for his new boss single parent London Ambrose but when he finds her being hassled by a rejected suitor he steps in and pretends to be her boyfriend which leads to him escorting her to a dinner that night. The more time he spends with London and gets to know her, seeing a different side to her than what he sees at work, he gradually falls not only for her but her son Caleb as well.

This was a cute and sweet romance as Drew followed in his father’s footsteps falling for London and Caleb just as Old Caleb had fell for his mother and sisters years before. There was fantastic chemistry between Drew and London, but they took things slowly because of Caleb and London had a few wobbles about the five-year age gap between them and also the fact that she was his boss but neither of these things mattered to Drew. Plus London never acted the part of a billionaire even if the contents of her wardrobe might disagree, but which woman no matter their financial bracket doesn’t love a new handbag! I also loved the development of Drew’s relationship with Caleb who had never had to share his mum with another man before and he handled his jealousy in a tender way. As usual family plays a huge part in this series, and they easily absorbed London and Caleb into their large family claiming them as their own. It’s not all plain sailing though with some outside interference from London’s parents but this book comes with no major angst.

A great addition to the single In Seattle series. This time it’s Drew’s story. London is his boss and he can’t be bothered with her, he thinks she’s just playing at “business” but, his opinion does a 360 when he steps in to protect her and then he gets to know her. I love this series and each of the cousins stories. I enjoy catching up with everyone and getting updates on what’s happening in everyone’s lives. While I enjoyed the evolution of Drew and London’s relationship. I especially loved Caleb, he was a total hoot. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series and I’m so excited for the next series Wilds of Montana. I received this book from the author. I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
