This uses text in the same style as the actual novel, not plain text. The illustrations are superb and should appeal to teens. I found a YouTube video demonstrating a few pages, but the text was a bit small to see on the video to be able to read the words, so I took a chance and ordered it, and I am really glad I did.
I bought another book to cover the vocabulary used in the original novel to use alongside. Don’t expect a reluctant reader to be able to manage the vocabulary used in this version without some help.

Really happy with this book. Bought for my son studying this for GCSE. He is not a reader and is a more visual learner. The narrative is the same as in the non-illustrated version and it’s very good quality print. It made reading much less dry and more enjoyable.

I am a big fan of the authors and the artist involved in this endeavour, I like that it is a vintage classic tale that is brought to life by Cam Kennedys superior artistry whilst told in a way that does not detract from the original tale.
