A better title would be “Second World War in Maps”. Do not expect lots of photos as there simply aren’t that many. Across its 300 pages are roughly 240 maps or varying sizes, from double page spread to quarter of a page.
A bit disappointed!

I have always been interested in the history of both World Wars and I purchased this, together with The Times First World War book. They are both extensively researched and, as far as I can tell, historically accurate. There is too much to mention here, but I would not hesitate in recommending both volumes. They’re not the type of book that can be read in one sitting, but they are brilliant to dip into every so often.
