As a Digital Marketing specialist, I’m always reading up on new ways to improve performances on various platforms. On my first sitting, I am 25% of the way through the book already, as it’s so well written and easy to consume. I can’t wait to get to the end, I’m that excited at the potential!

Most importantly, the advice Daniel is giving here is PURE GOLD!! I only recently updated my LI profile following guidance from a brand-building expert, however, Daniel’s insights are next level! Whilst what I have now is a significant improvement on what I had before, the nuances and platinum-plated insights Daniel provides are OBSCENELY good. My profile is soon to be leveling-up again!

Even though I’ve not seen any upturn in performance yet (as I’ve literally just started reading it), I KNOW it’s coming and I’m so confident about that, that I simply had to write this review after only 1 hour of reading. I’ve been doing marketing for over 13 years and I’ve NEVER written a review this quickly.

Bottom line – if you have a LI profile, you MUST buy this book!

    That’s it!

I struggled to decide whether to give this 2 or 3 stars. I generally only write 5 star reviews as always feel guilty giving any less, but it felt like Daniel Disney was just trying to make some money with this book and I feel just a tad ripped off if I’m being honest.

Nothing wrong with trying to make money, we are all in sales (hence why we are reading this book) but in order to justify the 14.5 quid price tag, Dan has clearly gone for a nice hardback cover and an unnecessarily long word count (publishers will often set a target to hit) but this book could have easily been written in 100 pages or less.

Many of the pages have hardly any words on them and the use of double spacing is ridiculous. It’s about value at the end of the day though, not word count, but the issue is the valuable bits were so wrapped up in useless fluff it diminished their value.

There is some good content in there, I was just frustrated by the obvious tactic to pad this out in order to hike up the price. I read dozens of sales books every year and many of them could be more concise but at least their “padding” is well written narrative to give context.

All in all, there’s some good stuff in this, but I couldn’t help but feel a little cheated. Much of the advice was the generic stuff you’d of got from a simple Google search (I.e. how to write good content on LinkedIn) but there were some gems in there hidden amongst the fluff.

Very happy with the book and what I bought it for however it turned up with a damaged cover. I always look after by books and my entire collection is in fantastic condition so when I receive something that is damaged I am pretty disappointed.

Was expecting a lot more useful and practical tips I could apply in my freelance business. Unfortunately, this book was a let down.

The author could have offered more examples to backup his claims and why it works. He didn’t go into enough detail on any of the topics. A lot of it was very basic stuff you could probably find online for free. Was expecting more after seeing all the glowing 5-star reviews.

    Don’t bother with this one.

Instead, I’d recommend The Cold Email Manifesto by Alex Berman. A fab book that gives you lots of email templates and other handy tips for cold prospecting.

Been following The Daily Sales and Daniel on LinkedIn for a good few months now. Always engaging content and motivation.
The Ultimate LinkedIn Sales Guide incorporates all of that good stuff into one, easy to read volume. Full of learning, examples, tips and tricks to up your LinkedIn sales game.
What I love about this book though, is Daniel’s use of his own sales experience to provide context with other sales methods – the Prospect Maze is a great analogy to describe the variety of tools required to reach your audience.
It’s the kind of book you’ll want to read cover to cover and then keep handy on the desk as you work though the strategies proposed to improve your profile, brand, engagement and results.
Here’s me, in the car, outside the kids swim club – read through completed.
I now have a plan in place.
Would highly recommend- not just to sales people but anyone wishing to improve their professional profile.
After all, the product you’re selling is you.

What did I like about this book?

    Everything!

I love the way Dan writes he makes his books such a joy to read.

The order of the chapters run perfectly, every chapter is a framework a step by step guide on how to generate leads on LinkedIn and how NOT to generate leads on LinkedIn.

There are lots of top tips and useful insights.

Sorry Dan but the pages of your lovely book are now full of colourful highlighter.

I was only 1/2 way through the book and I decided to buy my son Charlie a copy and have it delivered to him at his home in London. He is only a few years into working as a sales person/lead generator and I believe with this book he can become a successful lead generator on LinkedIn but doing it the right way, the professional way.

I am a Grant Funded Business Advisor helping local businesses in my area with business growth and I will definitely be recommending this book to ALL my clients.

Well done Dan another great book you have written, looking forward to the next one.

This book is highly recommended to any people reading this review. I love learning and I learnt lots about generating leads on LinkedIn thanks to this book.
