As the title suggests, the ULTIMATE teaching ESL manual [series] are an invaluable resource to any established or ‘wanna be’ English language teacher. Each book on the series gives clear, informative concise narratives on a whole cross section of this area of teaching.
Ranging from warm ups, spoken only classes, whether one to one or in groups. Giving easy examples and structure as well as advice to other study aids and downloadable materials… A real bonus to my growing library of study aids. !!!

Considering this book is aimed at teachers of English, the bad grammar and long list of spelling mistakes within may disappoint you.
An example – “How long would it take you to fly that fish if we had some gas?”
“The dog used to be ours – ‘Whose dog did it use to be?” The sporadic use of “use” and “used” drove me mad after several pages.
Two stars for the lesson ideas which are fairly useful. Do, however, make sure to check the spellings and grammar before using in class.
The 50 pictures and worksheets are okay as suggestions, although nothing special you couldn’t find for yourself on the internet.
I won’t be purchasing any more from “The Ultimate Teaching ESL”.
