happy with buy.

Well I have never even thought a book advent calendar was a thing, so I was delighted to get this for my book loving children. I always think chocolate advent calendars are a bit much in the run up to a food feast of the Christmas season, so I was amazed when I stumbled across an Osbourne advent calendar!
We have so many Osborne books, so we already know the quality of the books and stories are great, and we have not been disappointed.
This advent calendar is large but thin so won’t take over your house in the Christmas season. Every day there is a new story, classic Christmas themed stories.
I am so pleased with this calendar and really do recommend it. Excellent value for 24 stories! Very pleased and would recommend.

This is a rather lovely calendar which is quite large.
I love the idea of books rather than chocolate – it means that you have something that will last.
Being Usborne they are good quality.
Priced at £13.99 at time of review I am happy to recommend.
The only reason I have deducted a star is because mine arrived with a tear in the cover. If not for that it would have been five star.

Due to this being an advent calendar I haven’t given it to my son yet as I will wait till December.
I have had a good look though, the packaging and the contents look great. The books are fantastic and the standard of quality is really high, and I know my little one will enjoyed reading them as bedtime stories.
I can recommend this product to everyone, this is a great alternative for chocolates.

This is better than what i thought ,so many tiny books inside and so big

Well, this is a bit different to all the standard advent calendars with small toys or chocolates. First, it has to be said that this is double sided and huge.
Each day features a small but great quality and easy to read Usborne book suitable for a quick read at breakfast time, either to very young children or by slightly older children on their own. (I have to confess I haven’t looked at every single book, but those I’ve seen are excellent).
I am absolutely delighted with this and have no hesitation in recommending it- anything that gets children reading is great, and in this car they will enjoy the anticipation of wondering what the next day will bring. An Usborne book of fairy tales on Christmas Day, when the calendar is empty, would make a fantastic follow-up gift, too!

This is a beautifully packaged advent calendar, I got it for my 7 year old daughter and was worried it would look dull and not as inviting as toy ones but it looks really magical and she loves it. It comes in a protective sleeve and inside it opens out to reveal lovely illustrated doorways, in a double page spread, front and back, so it really is quite big and impressive to a small child. The books are nice quality paper backs, quite small but good for little hands, and they’re a quick bedtime read. They make a lovely collection and although some have Christmas themes not all do so they can be kept and read year round. Five stars from us.

But it arrived ripped in the for we which doesn’t look nice when it was intended as a gift. The rip is obvious so would have been packed that way.
