Excellent book for the beginner and seasoned gardener, This range of books tells you most of the basics you need to know from sowing to cropping. I still refer to these books to refresh my memory about a particular job i am doing.

This book is an essential if you are setting up an allotment for the first time.
Best grow your own book for the job . Reminds me of the old hains car manuals. Details what where and how to plant your vegetables.
Also shows what can go wrong

Awesome condition for a second hand book
by Trueblue
I have been growing vegetables for a while, sometimes they turned out great, others not so good.
Now I know why leaves curl up on tomatoes and what the brown specks are on the broad bean leaves.
Not to much information so it becomes a chore but enough to answer the basics without being complicated. I certainly recommend this book, perhaps glance though before sowing seed.
Very good service from the seller.

On the positive side I received my order promptly. I was a bit disappointed with the condition of the book, it was in quite good condition but I wouldn’t say it matched it’s “very good” description which I had based my selection on. There is writing on one page inside (presumably by the previous owner) and also an old bit of potato crisp stuck to a page. I knew it was a second hand book, but feel rather expensive for it’s condition..it would have been nice if the seller could have checked the inside pages and tidied it up a bit. The outside cover is a little faded etc but not too bad. Despite my adverse comments I was pleased to be able to purchase the book, maybe I was just unlucky with the inside condition this time. Would give the seller another chance, but wouldn’t expect to pay as much another time unless the condition was actually “very good” as stated.
