New updated emotions illustrations! Inclusivity and representation of all learners are important to us! We are pleased to announce that we have included a more diverse representation of characters within our Zones emotions illustrations throughout the 2021 printing of the curriculum book. While eight characters can’t possibly embody all the spectrum of humanity, we hope that learners see glimpses of themselves and those they know among this new cast. The Zones of Regulation: A Curriculum Designed to Foster Self-Regulation and Emotional Control This popular, easy-to-use regulation framework and award-winning curriculum teaches strategies for managing emotions and sensory needs to children, students, and clients ages 4+. Rooted in cognitive behavioural therapy, The Zones framework uses four colours to help individuals identify how they are feeling in the moment given their energy, emotions, and level of alertness, creating a coloured system to guide them to metacognitive strategies and tools to support regulation. By understanding how to read their bodies, detect triggers, think about the social context, and consider their reactions, individuals learn how to increase their ability to regulate their emotions, manage their sensory needs, and become more self-aware and skilful problem solvers. Activities and reproducible handouts and visuals are included in the curriculum along with instructions for digital access. All products which extend teaching about The Zones of Regulation require the use of this curriculum to teach with fidelity. What are the Four Zones of Regulation? To make this easy to talk and think about, we can categorize them into four simple, coloured categories that we call Zones of Regulation. The Blue Zone describes low levels of energy and down feelings, such as when we feel sad, tired, sick, or bored. The Green Zone describes when we feel calm energy and in control. We might feel

Rolling this out across our school. The book tells you everything with resources attached. There are 17 (??) clear lessons to teach over that many weeks to embed the culture. Looking forward to doing it.

The book arrived in pristine condition. I knew it was going to be a worth while investment. It is worth every penny, with the extra bonus (which is a huge bonus) of a memory card, jam packed with printables. The activities are so easy to follow. Children will relate to them so well. Super happy I bought this book. Highly recommended.

I have taken my time reading this text and I can see it should be in every teachers library. This needs to be part of every schools curriculum. I like the way the Author has considered differentiation of each teaching session and that it can be delivered to all ages. It builds upon the Alert programme and the 5 point scale. This system is a wholistic approach for emotional regulation and gives you a variety of calming, cognitive and sensory strategies. The resource comes with USB drive so you can reproduce its handouts. I would definitely recommend this for all schools but also for any keen parents out there.

The programme is so versatile it can be used across all key stages, really good tool for students who find self regulation or controlling their emotions difficult.
