Because Paris is always a good idea…
Years ago, Juliet left a little piece of her heart in Paris – and now, separated from her husband and with her children flying the nest, it’s time to get it back!
So she puts on her best red lipstick, books a cosy attic apartment near Notre-Dame and takes the next train out of London.
Arriving at the Gare du Nord, the memories come flooding back: bustling street cafés, cheap wine in candlelit bars and a handsome boy with glittering eyes.
But Juliet has also been keeping a secret for over two decades – and she begins to realise it’s impossible to move forwards without first looking back.
Something tells her that the next thirty days might just change everything…

I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. I liked the main character and her navigation through recent separation. No matter about any ‘convenient’ happenings or the main characters ability to find dresses that turn her into a man magnet. When we all know finding a killer dress that fits almost never happens quickly!. This is a grown up , light hearted romance for intelligent reader who just want to be entertained. A great holiday read or if even better if you were on the train to Paris!! – I was!!

Enjoyable light fluff, not demanding, a tonic after serious rads

This book is a great escape from the normalcy of everyday life. The heroine could act as a fire starter for someone at a crossroads in their life.
For me it was the perfect vehicle for my love of all things Paris.

A lighthearted but sincere book. Ideal for relaxed reading. It is a treat. I may also be biased as I love Paris and spent time there when I was younger. I could also relate to the main character in the book. It was a pleasure to read.

A lovely read which evoked wonderful memories of my city of birth. As the nights draw in, indulge in a romantic tale of hopes and dreams with twists and unexpected turns along the way. A coming of (middle) age!

I really enjoyed this book. A very easy read but that does not detract from the way in which it was written. I liked the change from chapter to chapter from past to present which related the story well and I cared about the characters. I would read it again.
