Three Ghosts of Christmas: Victorian Ghost Stories
£5.70
Three eerie tales to disturb your thoughts. Supernormal shadows, spectral infants, and dark foreboding houses haunt this collection of Christmas ghost stories.
When the Lord of Seaforth Manor treats his relations to a framed collection of silhouettes, little did he know he would unleash terror upon his family from an unquiet soul.
Edith Everly takes up a position as a resident nurse for the elderly Mr Chambers who seems to be gripped by fear for no apparent reason. Why won’t he leave the house in which he has remained self-imprisoned for most of his life and what danger lurks upon the moors?
Charles Buryman returns to his native soil from America after learning that he is the sole beneficiary of his aunt’s estate. Once in England he discovers a mysterious gravestone emblazoned with his name. Even more disturbingly, he can hear his own voice pleading from below the earth.
Three more ghostly tales from David Ralph Williams whose previous works include Olde Tudor, Sacred Ghostly Tales, and The Christmas Room.

This book has enhanced autumn nights and Halloween especially, I know I say this every time but David Ralph Williams is the closest writer I can find to Susan Hill who wrote my all time favourite ghost story. This book is par excellence. I loved curling up with it, This book is what books should be. I loved the gothic nature, the chilling narrative, well written and definitely my kind of book. Few people can touch this man when it comes to this genre. He is definitely a class of his own. I bought this book again as a Christmas gift for a friend who I know will love it,.
