This is book number twelve of the Lottie Parker series. I discovered these books in the middle of lockdown and devoured them all. I was delighted to receive an advanced e-copy of “Three Widows” from @netgalley and @bookouture.
I love a good detective series and Patricia Gibney has written every volume of the series so well. I was kept guessing throughout the entire book and was only half right! I would recommend reading the series from the start as a lot of past events and relationships are alluded to. There wasn’t as much focus in Boyd and Lottie’s relationship in this book which I really enjoyed as it left more room for the storyline of my favourite detective Larry Kirby. Here’s hoping he will have some happiness in book 13. He deserves it.

Another exciting thriller featuring Detective Lottie Parker. I liked the way that the story was chillingly addictive, and how the murders were puzzling and seemingly random at first. Great characters too.

Written really well and a totally engrossing plot from the start. Gibney is a brilliant author who really knows her stuff and blew me away with this crime story. I loved those and the plot. The characters were well written and true to life which I appreciated. The pace was fast but not too fast and I read it over two evenings because I just had to know who the murderer was

The reason I have four stars is purely for me I found there were so many characters involved that it took me quite a way through to actually know who was who outside of Lottie the MC, the widow’s group members, the police staff and then family members
Overall a brilliant read and I will read more by Patricia Finney

I have been rivetted with Lottie Parkers antics since book one. I cannot put the books down, they keep you guessing from start to finish. Love the dynamics of the team, just wish Lottie and Boyd, could catch a break and get their happy ever after, I’ve never known a couple to have such bad luck! In saying that the books are compelling reading and would highly recommend. Patricia Gibney is a genius.

Stayed up all night reading this book disappointed it ended I really hope there is another book in the making as can’t wait to find out more about the characters . I would recommend these books but be prepared as once you start reading you don’t want to stop.
