Really beautifully put together. Some photographs were a little too cluttered for me. But that’s personal. Good advice on collections. Would definitely recommend. This seller is always prompt and books are in fantastic condition.

My first purchase of a Carolyn Westbrook publication. Beautiful – inspired me to buy ‘The French Inspired Home’ and ‘Carolyn Westbrook Home’. If you like romantic inspired homes, this is the designer for you.

I really enjoy this designers ideas, I particularly like the French modern rooms as I love this style.

I liked it but it didn’t wow me over. I have hundreds of decorating books and I felt this one was a little old-fashioned, not glossy coffee table book

This book is going to completely change the way I decorate my house. I have collected interior magazines and books for years, but this epitomizes the style I love. Every single photo in this book is beautiful.

This has been a disappointing purchase. Perhaps I should have noticed that the author is an American. The interiors presented here are very much an American interpretation of French interior styling. Many of the photos are of the author’s Texas plantation house done out in ‘French country style’ . My own view is that the link to France is often tenuous. Some of the pictures seem to me to more English country house than French. Then there is a bizarre section covering a fisherman’s shack where I could see little or no French style at all – just ramshackle, overly shabby-not-very-chic.

I have a few other French interiors books by the likes of Caroline Clifton-Mogg, Josephine Ryan and others where the interiors are of French houses and whilst the styling has been adapted for modern life, the overall feel is much more authentic than what is presented in this book. This one is going back to Amazon.
