Yes I know I’ve been told that I’m tighter than a duck’s ……. I like a bargain and border on being a hoarder. However, as advent calendars increase in price later in the year, now is the time to get None edible ones as they are often considerably cheaper out of season.
So, this is one of those that has now been purchased and put away for my daughter who loves these books and will make a nice change from the make-up advents that she doesn’t even like or use.
Haven’t opened the advent itself obviously but I’m pleased with the size of the outside of it. Hope when the doors are open I’m still as pleased.

My son’s reaction to seeing this calendar on Dec 1st was brilliant! Never did he think a calendar like this would exist and he loves reading the mini books each day. Some of them are excerpts from the books themselves, so that’s the only reason I’ve given this a 4 out of 5 as I thought they were all brand new stories. But it beats the Disney book calendars!

After purchasing I read the reviews that advised that these are snippets from the books- of which my son has read most of through the library. I don’t think he will mind though as every time he finished a book he asked me to take pictures of the how-to doodles and make and do activities. He will be delighted with this little treasure trove and it’s displayed really well with the invitation to colour in the doodles for each day on the pockets. The writing is quite small but it makes it more special for kids. I’m really pleased with this purchase which will make a nice change from the expensive and rip off Lego ones I found myself buying into.

Our 10 year old is loving this advent calendar and so are we as we cuddle up for a new story together every night. It’s also inspired him to start drawing and doodling which is not something he has previously done. Only criticism is the print size in the book is so small I cannot read it but that may be my age!

Good quality fast delivery, however i assumed these for 24 stand alone little books but theyre snippets from the full books… my daughter loved it and read them all however she found it a bit boring as she had already read them and it wasnt new stories
