I work in a court supporting victims and although I’m not obliged to know the ins and outs of the law, I wanted to learn the basics. I chose this book as I’m dyslexic and find learning new things hard. I found the book easy to read and it covers so much without blabbing on and on. It isn’t confusing, it makes reading easy which I’m very grateful for and would thoroughly recommend this book for people who are starting out learning about Law in the UK.
Thank you.

This book was interesting to know of the past laws within the Uk. It made it simple for people like me to understand law in a simple terms. I hope they have more books for dummies on the topic of law.

Excellent book for beginners who are interested in Law in the United Kingdom and their rights as a citizen. The book is very informative and articulates information exceptionally well. Of course the book can’t cover everything in Law as that would be impossible, and the people who are complaining in the reviews clearly have expected that and have not stated a valid reason as to why they dislike the book, which overall is ridiculous. I would highly recommend purchasing this book.

Well packed and delivered by Amazon, as usual.
Extremely well written, and laid out, an absolute bargain. An absolute essential basic against the rising tide of Fascism, intimidation, and thugs in uniform, as found in modern UK. The legal/justice system of UK is a commercial industry, and is only for the use of the idle rich.
Self/lay-advocacy is our only hope against the rising tide of greed, and other abuse in modern UK.
This textbook gives us some hope of Democratic Justice, in an otherwise miserable world.
I have so many “for Dummies” volumes, and will certainly purchase more in future, as necessary.
Well worth 5 stars.

Bought at a time when we were still in the EU… And it ain’t much help now regarding changes to the law in the UK, since Brexit ! Some EU laws have changed regarding our rights now we’ve left the EU. But having said that, it’s a good way to get into studying law from a point of view of learning the basic foundations of some rights laws. But I will add, until we here in the UK finally get laws to replace EU laws and it’s over and done with, I’m not sure anyone can know their rights in the UK completely, until then ! Brilliant delivery as usual from Amazon, thanks ! 4 Stars.
