fine product

I found this book a wealth of visual information for a project I am working on. The illustrations are neat, precise and uncluttered with text. I would however, liked to have seen each item at least acompanied by a date (as the images span 50 years of the victorian era.)
I’m glad I bought this reference book and would recommed it to anyone.
Thanks Carol Belanger Grafton for your hard work!

Purchased this ebook version to help me date old family photographs. Whilst illustrations great and are presented in chronological order no dates are give to each of the plates of fashion illustration (i.e. year published) which is a great pity and therefore you still have to employ a certain amount of guesswork to apply a date to a fashion – which is a great shame

Great Book, Love it

Excellent book, wonderful pics from fashion plates, all black and white, but no children or men which would have been a lovely addition to cover this period as using this for reference in the theatre. Done chronologically so clear what is when as far as the morphing goes.

Plenty of costume ideas for those making or putting together historically correct outfits. Pages filled with black and white images but no text.
