I brought this book as a first step in my interest of American turn of the century homes, as I fined them fascinating compared to what was built in England around the same time. I must say this is a really good beginners guide. It is simply filled with colourful pictures as on the front of the book, with a floor plan of one or both floors. The are no synopsis or technical words no explanations. The are some one line titles like “A cottage for fifteen hundred pounds” (if only). I do find myself going back to this book time and time again, finding things I did not see before. If you are looking for inspiration this books not half bad.
