I love all the books I’ve read so far. They are just so thrilling, tragic, happy and addictive. Love them. I have cried over many deaths of cats in all the Warrior Cats series, I’m sure some of you can relate too. I cried a lot particularly in this book, over Storm and the actions of Clear Sky, I won’t say much more incase you’re like me and read reviews before buying books. Don’t want spoil it for you, unlike some people lol. Also, I don’t know if this counts as advertising, but I recommend a Youtuber called Moonkitti, I think she is very funny, and says her thoughts of Warrior Cats in a very unique way. Enjoy this book.

I got this book on the day it was published.I didn’t know that it would be coming out on that day so it was a nice surprise when it started downloading on my kindle.I am a huge fan of the Warriors series and I was really looking forward to reading these books(even if I didn’t know exactly when)so when it had downloaded I started reading it straight away.I think that the start is slightly boring but it is very important. Don’t let this make you think that you might as well buy something else because after chapter 1 it gets very interesting. The whole idea is that the mountains where the cats live don’t provide enough food so they try and find another place to live. If you have read other warriors books then you will know that they live in a forest.Obviously this is where the mountain cats go. One thing I enjoyed was trying to spot Wind,River,Thunder ,Shadow and Sky. I won’t tell you much but some of the leaders, like Sky who is actually called Clear Sky,are ancients so their names are slightly different. There is a huge surprise in this book but I won’t tell you because that would spoil it.I definitely would recommend this book-you’ll be hooked after 5 minutes. In my opinion this is the best Warriors book ever! ( written by daughter, 9 years)

in this book you see life from tribe cat Gray Wing’s point of view. prey is scarce and when gray wings little sister Fluttering Bird dies of hunger they do a vote on whether they should go find a better life in a place that stoneteller saw in a dream.
the cats who chose to go leave but gray wing stays. then Jagged Peak littermate of fluttering bird runs away to join his tribemates on the journey so gray wing goes too to make sure hes safe.
cant tell you more than that cause yknow spoilers but its real good. takes a while to get into coz theres ALOT of change. i actually thought about skipping the whole series coz its not actually important is it but now im on the second book i looooooooove it.

I have been on huge fan of these books ever since I read Into the Wild. I hoped it would live up to expectations and it did. It took the basic story in the warriors field guide and really made all the cats come to life giving a very detailed account of what it was really like for the first settlers in clan territory. But, if you are new to the series, the story will still make sense and it doesn’t matter if you read this series.and then the very first series that was published. Thumbs up to Erin Hunter and Co. for another fabulous book.

Yes – along with millions of others. I’m happy to see the new series coming into print. Prequels they are, but it’s going to be very interesting to find out about the forming of the clans as we know them. This latest adventure from the Erin Hunter team is great for the Warrior addict, but perhaps lacking a little on the storylines, and the ending is somewhat abrupt.
The only thing I didn’t like was the horrific outcome of the cats v eagles encounter, whilst they were en route to what was to become their new home. This series of books is predominantly for children. I think it could have been dealt with a bit more subtlety, bearing in mind that the children who read these books are animal lovers and as likely as not, cat lovers in particular. That incident was enough to give any such child nightmares for months! Couldn’t we remember to let children be protected during childhood? Naturally, nasty things happen in the real world, but they don’t have to be so graphic! It would have been much more acceptable had the cat died before the final horror!
