This book is a life saver. I now no longer have to do shopping lists, or think about meals. With meal plans for 10 weeks, I am now about to start this cycle for the 3rd time. The meals taste fab and are healthy and nutritious. We have not had one bad meal they are all delicious

Having lost the will slightly on cooking two separate meals all the time (one for the two year old, the other for us adults) I thought I’d give WFD a try. Some of the recipes are a little bit bland for our tastes, understandably for kids, but they’ve all been so quick and easy for us it’s well worth a bit of tweaking. We’ve also been pleasantly surprised at the positive impact on our food bills, which has been a bonus.

It is bold to claim a cook book can transform your life but once you have discovered this book you will understand why I say this. I’m not even the target market being single and child free but the recipes are foolproof and delicious. There are no obscure ingredients and there are helpful hits suggesting substitutes to make the recipes cheaper or vegetarian. As I am usually cooking for one I either use the full recipes to batch cook or halve it and have tasty leftovers for the following day. When I have friends with children round I can cook for them using these recipes knowing there will be clean plates all round. I’m looking forward to the next book of one pot meals and will not be surprised if it is even better.

I bought this and “what mummy makes” to try and home cook more for my fussy 20 month old with food allergies. The book doesn’t have substitutes but I’ve just made them anyway. I actually cried today because it’s the first time my son has enjoyed and finished a proper meal I’ve cooked him! My husband and I ate the rest and it was delicious. I prefer this book to the other mentioned as it has recipes we/toddler are more likely to eat but also it has a shopping list for a weeks’ worth of recipes which is super handy. Love!
